Minoru Tsuchida founded global knives in Japan in 1985 and Yoshikin from Japan brought the concept of Global knives construction and got fame worldwide. These single pieces of stainless steel knives are now the major part of cooking professionals. They become passionate and started producing high quality products and advance technology to satisfy their customers and increasing their business worth worldwide. 1954, initially Yoshikin manufactured kitchen utensils in the Tsubame Sanjo area of Niigata Prefecture. Yoshikin also renowned their company names as Yoshida metal Industry, where Global knives were started manufacturing in 1985.
Global knives are made of harder alloy steel and longer edge different from European shapes. A beautiful elegant design makes it distinguished and durable tool. Yoshida metal industry emerged with heavy investment in 1960s and started its system in a very perfect way. Emerging new ideas of manufacturing methods brought Global kitchen line in a stream. Design and technology used for Global knives series come from different countries traditions like following the Italian artistic design, durable German influence, and precise measurement adopted from Japanese develop the knives known as “Global knives”. Komin Yamada made design of this knife approach to the way of thinking like all designing based on the beauty and colors of the material. The material is heated and tempered at 1000 degree to shape the blade. After this heating treatment it gets cooling at minus 80 degree to make it much harder. This step is considered “sub zero treatment” which makes the stainless steel more refined and excellent cutting quality and again it is tempered to make blade strong. Edge of the knife is gradual curve; it has cross sectional shape outward the surface. This shape is very much appreciative for quality cutting.
