Japan is leading country in manufacturing weaponry tools using best techniques from hundred of years. Seki of Japan is expert in folding, layering and forged carbon techniques. This technique built a concept to introduce Kasumi knives. Sumikama Cutlery in Japan started producing Kasumi knives, a very popular and expert in using advance methods and high quality material. Producing tools with excellent manufacturing using advance techniques required much knowledge and ambiguous command.

High carbon stainless steel with a combination of cobalt, manganese, molybdenum and vanadium is used in hardening the blade at 60 degree Rockwell. Damascus steel is used in both sides of the knife. Layering of stainless steel is fully forged and tempered repetitively resultant to beautiful Kasumi pattern design. 33 layers are used in shaping the blade and middle layer gives only flexible cuts made of V Gold no10 high carbon stainless steel.  Laminated pakka wood handle riveted with stainless steel looks elegant. A beautiful fitting and finishing of these knives is extremely attractive. You feel very smooth and easy touch in your hands. Full tang supports balance and control in your hand comfortably. Forged stainless steel ferrule is unique part instead of bolster prevents in trapping food particles. A beautiful edge of Kasumi blade gives a beautiful western style look because of its large bevel. Large bevel makes it sharper and long lasting durability.

We are describing here two lines of Kasumi knives; Kasumi Damascus Pattern Knives and Kasumi Titanium knives.

Kasumi Damascus Pattern Knives

Damascus clad blade line of fine cutlery was started in Seki city of Japan traditionally. High tech steel with elegant traditional cutlery style combination made exemplary knives. A very attractive line of Kasumi knives in kitchen cutlery because of its beauty, strength and functions, achieved a worldwide popularity.   VG-10 high carbon stainless steel blades are crafted and tempered at 60 degree to make a hardened Rockwell which is efficient for long lasting sharp blades. Damascus steel covers the both sides of blade with 32 layers; this technique gives an incredible beauty and strength because traditional forging and tempering way create fantastic look to the features of knife. Finally shaping and fitting is hand made. Strong laminated wooden handles are also providing additional grace to the knives and presents unique style of cooking cutlery to make your kitchen complete.
